Episode Description

In this episode of the old-time radio show *21st Precinct*, listeners are taken through the bustling nerve center of the New York City police department as Captain Frank Kennelly oversees operations. After receiving a call regarding a major crime, Detective Novak and his partner Fitzpatrick investigate a suspected escapee, Dutch Sokin, who has connections to a fugitive named Harvey Breider. The pair confront Sokin in a bar, suspecting he knows more than he admits about Breider's whereabouts, especially in light of a recent jail break and a murder charge. Despite Sokin’s initial denials, he eventually reveals that he communicated with Breider and arranged a meeting for him and his girlfriend, Dorothy. With this information, the detectives set up a sting operation at a subway station for the anticipated rendezvous. Tension escalates as they wait for Breider to arrive, leading to a confrontation when he appears. A swift chase ensues, culminating in Breider being apprehended, highlighting the relentless cycle of crime and the dedication of the police officers tasked with maintaining order.
