Running the Post Office

Originally aired December 21, 1936, this Christmastime episode finds Fibber drafted into service at the Wistful Vista Post Office after the postmaster collapses under the holiday rush. Meanwhile, Harpo Wilcox tries mailing himself to California, a Russian clerk interprets “air mail” a little too literally, and Fibber bungles stamps, cancellations, and customers with his usual bluster.
