Episode Description

Originally Aired: January 23, 1947 In Suspense #229, “One Way Street,” young ex-convict George returns to the slums of London after a stint in prison, only to find his crooked Uncle Burt has married a kindly widow, Edna. But George suspects the union is a ruse for Burt to inherit her money—and when he finds rat poison stored ominously beside her medicine, the line between suspicion and complicity blurs. As Burt subtly draws George into a silent pact, the boy must decide whether to betray his last shred of morality. Roddy McDowall delivers a gripping performance in this dark tale of poverty, manipulation, and redemption.
