Episode Description

Originally Aired: July 4, 1951 When insurance investigator Johnny Dollar arrives in Los Angeles, he’s greeted by the shocking news of Alonzo Chapman’s murder—gunned down in an alley after a chance meeting with a blonde named Norma Sayle. What looks like a crime of passion quickly unravels into something far more sinister. Chapman’s estranged, much younger wife is strangely unemotional, and the only witness swears the killer was someone she’d never seen before—maybe. As Dollar digs deeper, another body surfaces, pointing to a case of mistaken identity and a deadly setup involving gangland debt collectors and a paid bait. With red herrings, false leads, and a fatal error, Dollar must untangle the twisted motives behind a murder that was never meant to happen. An explosive Independence Day episode of Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar.
