Smart Boy

Private detective Steve Carson is embroiled in a tangled web of deceit and betrayal when his partner Verna Sheldon decides to cut him out of their illegal enterprises. As tensions rise, Carson finds himself at odds with Verna and her new associate Randy Summers. The situation takes a dark turn when Verna is found murdered and Carson becomes the prime suspect. To clear his name, Carson fabricates an alibi involving influential businessman Charles W. Ralston. However, when Carson learns that Ralston has died in a cabin fire at Lake Tahoe, he realizes that his plan to shift the blame has backfired, leaving him in an even more precarious position. He must find a way to untangle the web of lies and deceit before it's too late.
