Package for Emily

Vivian Sedgwick races through stormy weather to deliver a package to Emily, while desperately trying to prevent Dr. Kenneth Thorpe from leaving Emily for a week and making him her own. A long, harrowing trip to Arrowhead has Vivian thinking of her happy past and the looming figure of her stepmother, Emily, who she believes stands in the way of her happiness. After seizing an opportunity to secure Kenneth's love through a stroke of luck which grants him a clinic, Vivian becomes frantic and schemes to prevent him from leaving by tampering with Emily's sedative prescription. However, Vivian's plans unravel when an unexpected accident results in Emily's death and a shocking turn of events reveals that Vivian's actions were not responsible for the tragedy.
