The Cheat

In this episode, James Matthews, an American working in Mexico City, feels trapped in a loveless marriage with his wealthy wife, Rose. Hoping to gain independence by investing in a business deal with Mallard Gunther, James tries to secure a large sum of money from Rose. However, his attempts are complicated when Rose becomes infatuated with a fictional character, George Turner, in an effort to make James jealous. As tensions rise and manipulative plans are set in motion, a shocking turn of events leads to a tragic outcome.
