Jean, a young woman engaged to a doctor, visits a fortune teller with her friend, Betty. The fortune teller predicts a grim fate for Jean, leaving her unsettled. Later, Jean becomes suspicious that her fiancé is using her as a test subject for an experimental drug he's developing.
