Lady with a Key

Joe Cannon encounters a mysterious woman at a bar who asks for a ride to San Diego. After finding her dead in his car, he discards her belongings, including a large sum of money. Following a series of events, Joe retrieves the key to the woman's hotel room and discovers a valuable stolen painting. However, he is apprehended by the police, who link him to the murder and the stolen money. The story unfolds with unexpected twists and turns, leading to Joe's arrest for the murder of Mary Cartney, a crime he insists he did not commit.
