Fading Star

In this episode of The Whistler, fading movie star Don Carlton sees his career waning and decides to marry upcoming star Dulcey Winslow to revive his popularity. However, when Dulcey shows interest in a cowboy singer named Wally Varden, Don's jealousy turns to hate, leading him to orchestrate an accident during a filming sequence. But the plan backfires, causing a tragic accident and revealing Wally's recent marriage to Dulcey, ultimately leading to Don's demise.
