Stranger in the House

Helen has been waiting for news from her brother Ted for six years, ever since he left for a government mission before Pearl Harbor. She longs for any message, even if it confirms his death, to end the suspense. When a man claiming to be her brother appears, Helen is suspicious and begins investigating. She makes a phone call to Honolulu to verify the man's identity, but her plan backfires as the man reveals himself as an FBI agent and her brother's best friend, exposing her as the one who hired someone to kill her real brother and take his place for the inheritance.
