The Man from the Second Earth

Carl Rattle, a scientist researching extraterrestrial radio waves, contacts an intelligent being named Torquane from a dying planet called Ultra Call on Earth. After establishing communication, Torquane arrives on Earth with a group of protoplasmic beings seeking to inhabit the planet due to their own world's depletion of resources. Initially appearing human, Torquane's true, gelatinous form becomes apparent, causing concern for Carl and his friends, who see the potential threat these beings pose. After a farmer goes missing and is later discovered dead, indicating the beings' hostile intentions, Carl, Bruce, and Sharon devise a plan to destroy them using fire. They ignite their house to create a fiery barrier while escaping through a window, narrowly avoiding being consumed by the protoplasmic aliens, who are vulnerable to high heat. The episode concludes with uncertainty about future encounters with life from other planets.
