Flying Saucers

A man named Dr. Andrew Bronson, stationed at a military installation in New Mexico in the year 2012, discovers that his experimental missile, Zeus, has attracted the attention of unidentified flying saucers. After launching Zeus 2, which is equipped to combat the saucers, Bronson's assistant Eileen Harkness mysteriously disappears. Bronson later investigates and ends up aboard a flying saucer, where he encounters an alien entity claiming to be part of a race called the Core. This being reveals they have been studying humanity for thousands of years and using operatives to influence human history. The Core intends to take Bronson and Harkness back to their planet. As tensions rise on the ship, Bronson learns that he possesses special abilities due to being one of their operatives, but he also discovers that the alien has ulterior motives. In a final twist, an alien named Kader, who has developed a sense of empathy after being exiled to Earth, turns against the Core to protect Bronson and Harkness, offering them a chance to reshape Earth's future together. The story ends ambiguously as they prepare for their next journey.
