Bannon and the Bogey Cat

An advertisement leads Aubrey Mason from Assignments Unlimited to Sir Roger Lansbury, who seeks an escort for his daughter Valerie, a beautiful 19-year-old who has lived a sheltered life. Sir Roger believes allowing Valerie some freedom under supervision could help her settle down. Mason recruits a man named Cannon as Valerie's escort, and their assignment begins with a week of nightlife. As Cannon and Valerie bond, they find themselves in increasingly complicated situations, including a late-night escapade when they miss curfew due to a supposed petrol shortage. Ultimately, it is revealed that both Valerie and her father are con artists using Cannon for a series of burglaries. Cannon realizes the truth when he learns that Valerie never intended to follow her father's rules, and he decides to report her deception to the authorities, putting an end to their scheme.
