Two sides to the Shamrock

A peculiar request from the War Office leads Cannon to become a model for a new bulletproof suit developed by General Sir Quentin Gray. Although resistant at first, Cannon reluctantly agrees after his superior pressures him by citing the importance of the assignment. The suit is tested under machine gun fire and electron bombardment. After the successful tests, Cannon is sent to Ireland for a supposed rest, but he is kidnapped by enemy agents seeking information about the suit. The kidnappers plan to torture him with a pet rat but are thwarted when General Gray and his team launch a rescue operation, revealing that Cannon was actually bait in a counterintelligence operation. Once rescued, Cannon continues his unintended holiday in Ireland, while it’s implied that he may have developed a romantic connection with one of his captors.
